Choose a scenario
Levels get harder as you go. Take your time — safety over speed.
Level 1 — A quiet Tuesday evening
It's 8pm handover. Four young people are settling for the evening. Read each care-plan summary and place them so everyone is safeguarded overnight.
Level 2 — Full house, weekend
Six residents in tonight. A new admission and a known county-lines risk. Think about proximity, exits, and who cannot be in the same space.
Level 3 — Devices at night
Recent online-exploitation disclosure on the unit. Consider visibility, isolation, and the relational risks in the lounge.
Level 1 — New admission at 9pm
Amara has just arrived. Two other residents are settled. Prioritise a calm first night and clear line-of-sight for the safety plan.
Level 2 — Push factors at dusk
Two residents have raised missing-from-care risk tonight. Think about exits, ground-floor windows, and staff visibility.
Level 2 — Lounge dynamics
The evening lounge is busy. Watch for unhealthy peer dynamics and exploitative influence on under-16s.
Level 3 — Mixed risks, full unit
Every risk category is live tonight: self-harm plan, missing risk, CSE, and online exploitation. Trade-offs will be tight.
Level 3 — Saturday night, six in
Weekend energy is high. A new admission, an active safety plan, and a county-lines risk are all in the mix.
